General
What is YoBeSE?
YoBeSE is a UK services marketplace. Customers can post a job and receive offers, or search public Provider profiles before deciding what to do next.
Who is YoBeSE for?
YoBeSE is for people who need a service and for independent professionals or businesses that provide services in the UK.
What services can I find?
The marketplace covers active categories including home, automotive, beauty, wellness, personal, business, digital and other professional services. The current category list is shown on the homepage and in Provider search.
Is YoBeSE only for trades?
No. Trades are part of the marketplace, alongside beauty, massage, wellness, personal, business, digital and other services supported by the active category catalogue.
How does YoBeSE work?
A Customer can post a Job for relevant Providers to discover and offer on, or search public Provider profiles directly. Providers create profiles, browse matching Jobs, submit Offers and communicate through YoBeSE.
Can I use YoBeSE anywhere in the UK?
YoBeSE is built for the UK market. Available results depend on the service categories, towns, postcode areas and travel distances currently supplied by Customers and Providers.
What are service and location pages?
They are public guides built from the active service catalogue and a controlled list of UK cities. They connect eligible Provider profiles, real reviews and relevant answered Q&A. Pages with too little real marketplace value remain outside search indexes.
Who can ask or answer a public service question?
An active verified account may ask a plain-text service question. Only an active Provider with a published public profile relevant to that service category may answer publicly.
How does Helpful voting work?
A signed-in user can mark an answer Helpful once. Repeated requests do not add more votes, and a Provider cannot vote for their own answer.
Are public Q&A answers professional advice?
No. Answers are attributed to eligible Providers and may help explain a service, but YoBeSE does not guarantee that an answer is complete, suitable or professional advice for a particular situation.
For Customers
How do I post a Job?
Create and verify one YoBeSE account, choose a service category, describe the work, add a UK postcode and publish the Job. Photos and a town or city can be added where useful.
Can I find professionals without posting a Job?
Yes. Provider search lets you browse public profiles by keyword, service category, town, city or outward postcode. A public profile does not create a booking or enquiry by itself.
How do Offers work?
Eligible Providers can submit an Offer with an estimated total, estimated range or quote-required status, indicative availability, estimated duration and up to four public work examples. They may edit or withdraw it while submitted. The Customer can review or compare current Offers, then accept one.
How do I choose a Provider?
Use Compare Offers to review factual estimates, availability, duration, public work examples, broad location and real Verified Job Reviews. Sorting is neutral and promotion does not influence it. YoBeSE does not label a winner or guarantee the estimate, reply, availability or work quality.
How does messaging work?
A Job conversation becomes available after a Provider submits an Offer. Messages stay within YoBeSE and the conversation follows the Job and Offer status.
Is Customer messaging free?
Customers do not use Message Credits for normal Job messaging. Provider SEND or FIRST-READ charges may apply according to the prices shown to the Provider.
What is Contact Unlock?
Contact Unlock is a one-time entitlement for the accepted Provider on a specific Job. It can reveal the permitted Customer contact details for that relationship and makes later messaging in that conversation free for the Provider.
When can direct contact details become available?
Direct contact details can become available only after the Customer accepts that Provider’s Offer and a valid Contact Unlock is granted for that exact Customer, Provider and Job relationship.
How do Verified Job Reviews work?
A Customer can leave one review after a completed Job that has an accepted Provider Offer. The review is labelled as a Verified Job Review because it is tied to that completed marketplace Job.
For Providers
How do I create a Provider profile?
Create and verify one YoBeSE account, choose Offer Your Services, add public business details, choose up to ten service categories, add supported location and service-area information, then publish the completed profile.
How do Providers find Jobs?
Providers use Jobs for you after configuring an area and delivery mode for each service. Local results use straight-line postcode distance; remote and nationwide support must be selected explicitly.
What does Match Score mean?
Match Score is a deterministic 0–100 comparison of an eligible Job with the Provider’s service area, delivery mode and saved preferences. Its reasons are shown to the Provider. Promotion, reviews, Credits and payments do not affect it; incomplete preferences show “Match data incomplete”.
What do Verified Customer, Urgent, Ready to Hire and Budget Confirmed mean?
Verified Customer means the active Customer account has a verified email. Urgent and Ready to Hire are Customer-selected statements. Budget Confirmed means a usable budget was supplied; it does not mean funds are held, guaranteed or in escrow.
How do Provider Offers work?
An eligible Provider can submit one Offer for a Job with structured estimated price, indicative availability, estimated duration and up to four examples from their own public portfolio. A submitted Offer can be edited or withdrawn. Once accepted, its commercial details are frozen.
Are offer estimates confirmed bookings or guaranteed prices?
No. Estimated prices and durations are indicative, and availability remains unconfirmed until the Customer and Provider agree the work. Portfolio examples demonstrate previous work only.
What are Message Credits?
Message Credits are Provider usage units for chargeable message actions. A successful charged SEND or first read uses one credit; free actions use no credit.
When can Message Credits be used?
Credits may be used when a configured Provider SEND or FIRST-READ price is above £0.00. Invalid, blocked or failed actions do not consume a credit.
What is SEND pricing?
SEND pricing is the administrator-configured price represented by one Message Credit when a Provider sends a chargeable message. The current price is shown in the Provider account.
What is FIRST-READ pricing?
FIRST-READ pricing applies once when a Provider first unlocks an incoming Customer message. Reopening an already unlocked message does not charge again.
What happens when messaging prices are £0.00?
A £0.00 SEND or FIRST-READ price means that action is free and no Message Credit is consumed.
How does Contact Unlock affect Provider messaging?
After Contact Unlock is active for that exact accepted Job relationship, permitted contact details are available and later Provider SEND and FIRST-READ actions in that conversation are free.
What is a Promoted Profile?
A Promoted Profile is temporary paid visibility in a clearly labelled promoted section of relevant Provider search results. It does not change organic ranking, reviews or verification status.
Does Promoted mean recommended or verified?
No. Promoted means paid placement only. It does not mean recommended, verified, highest rated, best or endorsed by YoBeSE.
Payments
How do I buy Message Credit packages?
A Provider selects an active package and completes Stripe-hosted checkout. Credits are added only after YoBeSE receives confirmed payment processing.
How do Contact Unlock payments work?
The accepted Provider can purchase Contact Unlock at the price stored for that Job. A successful payment grants the relationship-specific entitlement; a failed payment grants nothing.
How do Promoted Profile payments work?
An eligible Provider chooses an active promotion package and category, then uses Stripe-hosted checkout. Promotion starts only after confirmed payment processing.
Does YoBeSE use Stripe-hosted payments?
Yes. Supported paid Message Credit, Contact Unlock and Promoted Profile purchases use Stripe-hosted checkout.
Does YoBeSE store card details?
No. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted checkout and are not directly stored by YoBeSE.
What happens if a payment is pending, failed or refunded?
Pending or failed payments do not activate paid benefits. A confirmed refund updates the purchase and applies the relevant product rules, such as reversing unconsumed credits or revoking the linked promotion period.
Reviews, trust and safety
What is a Verified Job Review?
It is a public review linked to a completed YoBeSE Job with an accepted Provider Offer. The label describes that Job relationship, not an identity or qualification check.
Who can leave a Verified Job Review?
Only the Customer who owns the qualifying completed Job can leave its single review of the accepted Provider.
Why are contact details restricted?
Keeping contact details out of public profiles, Jobs, Offers and ordinary Messages protects privacy and keeps the marketplace relationship scoped to the relevant participants.
Why can contact-sharing attempts be blocked?
YoBeSE checks public and marketplace text for contact-sharing patterns. A blocked attempt does not create permission to share details; a valid Contact Unlock is relationship-specific.
Does YoBeSE verify every Provider?
No. Email verification, Provider verification status and Verified Job Reviews are separate signals. A verified email does not mean that identity, qualifications, insurance or work quality have been checked.
Does YoBeSE guarantee the quality of work?
No. YoBeSE provides marketplace tools and factual profile or review information, but does not guarantee responses, availability, suitability or work quality.
How should suspicious activity be handled?
Stop sharing information or making arrangements, keep relevant messages and Job details, and use any support or reporting route currently made available by YoBeSE. Do not send passwords, security codes or card details in messages.
Account and access
Do I need an account?
You can browse public Provider profiles without an account. Posting and managing Jobs, submitting Offers, messaging, reviews and purchases require the appropriate verified account role.
Why must I verify my email?
Email verification is required before protected Customer, Provider or Administrator areas can be used. It is separate from Provider verification.
What if I forget my password?
Use the Forgot password page to request a time-limited reset link. Completing a password reset signs out existing sessions.
Can one account be both a Customer and a Provider?
Yes. A verified Customer can choose Offer Your Services to add Provider tools and a private draft profile to the same account. Jobs, messages, saved Providers, reviews and sign-in remain together, while permissions for each action are still enforced by the server. Administrator access remains separate.
Where can I get support?
Account pages provide the currently supported self-service controls, including sign-in and password reset. Formal public support contact details are not currently displayed on the platform.
